I'm looking for a piece of software which is much like Dr. DiVX... but simpler, that would convert an input MPEG2 to DIVX or XVID automagically. I've got numerous little videos here and there, and having to run each one of them through Gordian Knot is such a pain. The app would need to auto detect if the video is interlaced or progressive and adjust it's AVISynth script accordingly. Does anyone know of an app like this? Or will I have to write my own/start an open source project?
Seems somewhat straightforward, I'm surprised no one else has looked for this sort of thing before.
Also, does anyone know of a mass AVI to MKV converter?
Thanks in advance.
