I noticed just recently when processing type-1 DV AVIs that DirectShowSource (AVISynth 2.5.4) has problems:
1) the sample rate displayed is wrong
2) on some video files audio will not be there at all or will be cut off (ends) abruptly in the middle of the file.

Is there a fix for this available?

Could you try the latest binary?

Just yesterday, I wanted to load an OGM ( XviD [simpleIDCT] + Vorbis ) by directshowsource.

The source is in synch in DS players and in VdubMod. Loaded through DirectShowSource, audio was off by 1~2 secs.
AviSynth was the latest 2.55 binary.

I guess the problem is that the audio is VBR, did you try

Holy sh*t - had forgotten that one :o

It's about once per year when I need to re-encode parts of already encoded material, so ... (just to give a lame excuse)
