Hi Len0x

I'm trying to find out which settings AutoGK uses, and so far I haven't found a thread/post describing the exact settings. I know that you can change the codec settings any time - and probably will - to match the settings supported by standalones, and it is not that I would like for anything to be changed - I'm simply interested in knowing the settings.

Maybe (if you think it is a good idea, that is) you could include a small text file with the installer, which described the settings used by the current version, so that people interested in the encoding procedure could see what was being done.

So far I have gathered the following about the settings used:

Quantization matrices:
HVS-best -> HVS-better -> HVS-good

Resizing algorithms:
Lanczos -> ? -> ?

Regarding the resizing algorithm I know that its first choice is Lanczos, but I'm not sure which algorithms follow and in which order.

My guess at the codec settings are:

Max BVOPS: 1
Adaptive Quantization: off
Quarter Pixel: off
GMC: off
Motion Search precision: 6
VHQ: 1
Chroma motion: on
Turbo: off
Trellis Quantization: off

Are these setting correct?

BTW, I have to say that I'm absolutely amazed with AutoGK - especially with the pace at which it has matured. Actually your alpha releases are more stable than most stable releases of other encoding tools I've tried :D

Almost everything is correct apart from:
HVS Best -> HVS better
Lancsoz -> Neutral Bicubic

and bframes can be turned off sometimes as well.
