hey its been awhile, little over a year actually since ive asked about this. About a 1.5 years ago i bought the msi tv@nywhere...well it didnt work out too great. i gave the card to a friend, he wound up using DScaler (?) and said it worked great. since that time i have lost touch with him...and he still has the damn card. So time to buy a new one.
ive read alot in the past, and read for about 30min so far before posting this, and i cant tell if i should get another msi, or one by leadtek?
anyways, ultimate goal is to capture cartoons in huffyuv and compress to whatever. i would like to use 720x480 4:3 but do not know which application as far as capturing software is compatible and "ok" with one of these chips.
i already own a few other devices like the DV and BT based cards, however what i got out of the msi no matter how little it was, i liked the results the best. so im going to try yet again with it.
i read iuVCR is now a solid application and that VirtualVCR is aswell (although ive never had any luck with that).
is there anybody that knows and uses one of these CX2388x cards and can give good feedback on which application to use and if there is any "tricks" in using it to get good results. i dont need much more than positive feedback with ensuring feedback...i got the rest covered. Basically im looking for experienced reviews and methods.
if anybody knows of any and can post, much appreciation is to you. i know this chip doesnt have the best track record, but i know some of you are complete gurus with it.
