I have VOB files on my drive that I wish to burn as a playable DVD. I'm using ifoedit 0.96 to generate the ifo and backup files but it isn't working this time. The files I start with are
VTS_15_0.IFO
VTS_15_1.VOB
VTS_15_2.VOB
VTS_15_3.VOB
VTS_15_4.VOB
VTS_15 - Stream Information.txt

I run ifoedit and click on Create IFOs. It generates these files:
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO

I then try to burn with nero and am told it fails the compliance test because "Required file 'VTS_15_0.BUP' is not present."

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks

VTS_15_1.VOB ---> VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_15_2.VOB ---> VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_15_3.VOB ---> VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_15_4.VOB ---> VTS_01_4.VOB
Drag your VOBs into your destination folder where you have your new files. Rename your original VOBs as above and then Get VTS Sectors. DVD Play to test. I'm assuming you are doing a movie only backup

Thanks for the help. I'm afraid I'm don't know enough about this to follow your instructions. I can rename the files fine but I don't know how to get VTS sectors or what that means. You are correct in that I'm trying to do a movie only backup.

Get VTS Sectors (http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/Derrow/calcsec.html) explained.

Thanks again for the help. I followed your instructions and was able to burn the DVD backup fine.

Should I do the "Get VTS sectors" step everytime I generate IFO and backup files from VOBs or just when there is an error like in the example I posted about? Most of the time I don't get the compliance error so I wonder if Get VTS sectors should still be done.

Thanks
