Baaaaaaaaad avi quality??

hey guys....
i'm using a simple program to rip my dvd's such as Flask and dvdx ....
but i always have a grainy a nd pixly picture knowing that i'm calculating the file size..... in orer to make it 700 mb using divx or xvid....
any help and PLEASE don't say Gordian knot coz it'll breally hard 4 me

I have no idea what is going wrong without screenshots, and without telling what steps you followed.

I recommend you follow one of the guides at this site:

and tell us if you still get bad quality.
