New subtitling for Avisynth

My new plugin SubtitleEx extends Avisynth build-in Subtitle function with new features: multiline, some nice visual effects like on the attached picture.

If they are based on the internal filters, you should provide the sources (that holds also for DVTimeStampEx). It might be nice to integrate this code in AviSynth!

Original code from Antialiaser class has been used but it has been heavily modified.
The DVTimeStampEx uses file manipulation engine from Avisynth code directly and my modified Antialiaser class as well.
I do not know who is the proper person to contact for the code to be integrated but we can continue the discussion about that by email (mvideo@nm.ru).

You should PM Sh0dan (one of the other mods of this forum) about it. But, I think he's a bit busy now.

Regardless, he will also ask/tell you to release the sources under GPL. AviSynth is GPL.

AviSynth is licensed under the GPL, not the LGPL.

I think the extended subtitling stuff is fine as a separate plug-in.

You are correct of course (the only thing what changed a while ago was the addendum to the GPL).

I had to try this straight away...i love it :) thank you so much basilik, for this nifty little plug-in, it works beautifully!

On a side note, maybe an example with another font would be nice, to show the actual syntax of the parameter, though it's clear enough from the explanation :)

Even if it is "heavily modified" you must still comply with the GPL. Without exception.

Until you release the source your software is considered illegal, and thus you cannot promote or discuss it here.
