How can import Windows Media Audio/Video file to VDM via AVS?

I don't know how to import it to VDM via AVS.Which plugins can i use??Have it had any methods do this??

if i understand correctly, if u can already play the wmv file, then in avisynth, all u need is use directshowsource.

check the docs for avisynth for the syntax.

I just tried this as I had a windows media file on my desktop. I got good sound but no video and a message saying that no filter was available to read the file. (I was using Windows Media Player as I don't have VirtualDubMod on this machine, but I doubt it would make any difference). If you find you can't do this there are free trial versions of file converters such as OSS video converter. I think they are good for as little as 5 days and I believe you lose a bit of quality.
