Hi,
I have this equipment:
- an Xbox with digital out
- a Kenwood hifi with 6ch analog input (not digital, it really has 6 analog rca for input!)

Does anyone of you know if exists some kind of dolby digital/dts standalone decoder that could let me connect my xbox to the hifi?

Thank you very much!

I have lots of little black boxes but as far as I know you can't buy an digital electrical/optical (DolbyDigital/DTS) to 6Ch analogue converter!

Cheers

EDIT: Amps with 6No analogue inputs are not that rare. Neither of course are DVD players with 6No analogue outputs! A friend of mine has 3No identical (very expensive) stereo amps which he uses to connect to his Pioneer DVD/DVD audio/SACD player via analogue!

Thanks for replaying. Anyway I have to disagree... Yesterday evening I found this (http://creative.com/products/product.asp?prodid=9468). It's a decoder from Creative. It costs approx. 150 euros.

This little Creative box looks the part... shame there is not a more detailed spec showing the outputs!

Hey, thanks for that Soulhunter.

This looks like a great little black box. I like the fact it can work as an pre-amplifier and/or power-amplifier... very useful.

I might get one of these myself!

I wonder why Creative's info is so sparse?

Cheers

EDIT: Something like this would sound great in a car!

Thank you very much, Soulhunter.

Now, all I have to do is to find the money! :p
