Hi, apologies if this has been discussed, I haven't been able to find a solution.

I've made about a hundred GKnot rips by now, in fact, just finished Nightmare on Elm Street yesterday successfully. Today I tried ripping the Animatrix using the same ordinary settings (DivX 5, 2 CDs, 1x VBR MP3, NTSC, 16:9, smart crop adjusted, neutral bicubic) and my video is out of sync. I tried the same a few weeks ago, i thought my settings got fux0red or something, but no, it's just this one. I've got the logs if they're necessary, I haven't found anything suspicous there, maybe anyone had a similar problem?

The VOBs themselves play in sync. And I followed the extraction instructions to a tee, as usual...

this is related to the video frame rate, try messing with it and see if that helps, if this is not it then im at a loss.:D

No, this has nothing to do with the frame rate, the audio loss is gradual and it occurs only with this DVD, I've tried everything now; can anyone help?

I tried following the VirtualDub synch guide, but I can't find that damn "synch.exe" file anywhere!

Unfortunately, I've already wiped it out. However, *.mp4 guy *was* right regarding this being a matter of framerate. I think I have misunderstood him initially, due to a difference in terminology. It's very frustrating to hear people throw out hypotheses without solutions...but I guess this forum isn't as useless to me as I initially thought it was.

At any rate, at the end of my night-long sound synching adventure (http://www.mig81.com/archives/000695.php), I found YAAI (http://yaai.sourceforge.net/) and changed 23.9760 FPS to 23.9790 FPS and the Animatrix works perfectly now.

But we'll never know why it broke in the first place... O_o
