Hi there.

I tried to rip the disk to the hard drive, to see if it's got any read errors (I bought it used).
Well, it ripped OK on my burner, but when I stuck it into the reader, all hell broke loose.

The first large VOB took forever to rip and the machine locked up after that step. Reboot, try again. Same result. Then I downloaded the latest DVDDecrypter. It worked like a charm. Unfortunately, I don't know the version of the previous one, but I think it was 3.1.9.

Any ideas as to what went wrong? The changelog didn't clue me in at all. (I sound like I know what I'm talking about, right? ;)
Just FYI, the NEC burner was able to rip it, but the Afreey (sorry :)) couldn't until I upgraded.

Thanks.

You may have just been unlucky the first time you tried it and it failed.

Then again, maybe it was something I fixed. Who knows :)

I must have been pretty damn unlucky! I tried like three times.
I couldn't believe it! The burner worked like a charm the first time.
Then I wanted to see if the reader takes less to rip. It didn't... ;)

Anyway, I will stick with the new one. It's awesome!

Thanks very much for taking the time to reply.

I feel kind'a funny, it's like talking to a celebrity...
Oh, wait, you ARE a celebrity! :)

Cheers!
