There is a promising review over at ExtremeMhz website.

The results shown here prove one of the points I have made numerous times in most of the articles I've written as well as in our DVD Burning Guide. Store brand media is not necessarily the best DVD media for your drive. Verbatim 8X rated media, for example, failed to write at 8X. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Ritek is one of the best brands when it comes to both CD and DVD burning.
DVD+R DL Testing
Excellent! I was a bit skeptical at first, but rather relieved to find it was able to recognize and play the movie flawlessly on all the standalone players. These were the results I was after to begin with. The JVC XV-N50BK is an excellent DVD player and is quite possibly the fastest loading DVD player on the market. The disc loaded just as fast and played back without any issues. The highly controversial APEX AD-660 is actually a much older DVD player but I keep this trusty player handy as it basically plays anything that I throw at it with a hole in the middle. No issues using a Combination Television Set with built-in DVD player as well. Based on these results, the only thing is question is compatibility with PC DVD Drives. Our older Pioneer DVD-116 had absolutely no problems recognizing and playing the movie, however, our newer Optorite DD0203 could not identify the disc properly. It did recognized it, but basically saw it as an empty disc. As we had mentioned earlier, one of the major challenges during the development of this technology, was to maintain compatibility with the DVD-ROM standard to ensure that the new dual-layer discs would be playable on standalone DVD players. Based on the results, I think this challenge was accomplished.
And best part !
1. DVD Ripping - Single Layer Disc
One of the best and my personal favorite single layer DVD ripper is DVD Decrypter. I tested the SOHW-832s ripping performance by ripping a total of three single layer DVD movies to ISO format.
I was completely impressed with its speed and the Lite-On SOHW-832s was able to rip a single layer DVD movie in record time. Its read rate hit its maximum speed of 12X as was able to rip the DVD in only 6:43 minutes.
DVD Ripping -Dual Layer Disc
Again, I was impressed with its dual layer ripping performance using DVD Decrypter. The read rate maxed in at 8.6X and was able to rip the DVD in just under 17 minutes. This was substantially faster than our Optorite DD0203.
Sounds good, or what do you guys think ?
