Hi everybody

I'm trying to encode "Les triplettes de Belleville" (a french movie) but, every time I've got the same probleme : just after "Demuxing and Indexing", VirtualDubMod stop to 68% (every time it is 68%), and I have to abort the job.

Here is a screen (don't know if it can help)

http://sylvain.lapendry.free.fr/images/screen.JPG

Does anybody know why I've got this problem ?

Thanks a lot (scuse my english, i'm french)
Tib

I think I had some trouble with this a while back with GK and I think if you try re-ripping the movie to your HD and try it again it may work.

I ripped the DVD 3 times ! :) and I've always the same probleme (68%)

Moreover, this is really strange because i can make a preview without any problem.

Hi-

Did you use DVD Decrypter for the decrypting (as you should)?

Yes, of course

Hi-

This is a strange one. What happens when you open the .avs that AutoGK made directly in VDubMod and then scroll around that 68% area? About all I can think of is some sort of vob file corruption at that place, or perhaps some sort of a layer change problem.

You used DVD Decrypter in IFO Mode, and there were no problems with the decrypting process? No rereads or errors of any kind?

This probably won't have an effect but try encoding using DivX instead of Xvid. Maybe there's something wrong with the Xvid codec...as I remember when I had my problems I was able to encode the problematic vob with Xvid but not with DivX.

It's strange because the picture is very small, I don't know if it is normal. Here's a screen when, with a right click on the picture, I select "4x size" :

and then scroll around that 68% area?

No problem for that, I can scroll the entiere movie (even if the picture is tiny)

No problem with the rip.

FYI, the failing step is analysis step, so that's why picture is tiny... It's not actual encoding yet and no codecs are used.

Ok, but why does this analysing step fail ? :(

To be honest I have no idea as this has never happened to anyone else.
