Plextor 708A only reads/writes DVDs

all of a sudden my Plextor 708A will read/write only DVDs, not to any CD-media, whether it's a commercially bought or burnt CD-R/RW. In fact any CD loaded is not even is not even recognised as being present blank or otherwise. Tries cleaning it but still the same problem. Any ideas?

Contact Plextor for RMA and get a replacement within less than 1 week ;)
