IfoEdit open file command line?

For some reason IfoEdit isn't opening the IFO file I pass to it from the commandline (or by setting up the command via file association). Is there a special syntax to do this, or is it just "IfoEdit.exe blah.IFO" ?

I really just want to associate .ifo files with IfoEdit so I can double click them to open in IfoEdit. This was working, but I had to reinstall my system and now I can't seem to set it up again. If the above syntax is correct, does anyone have any ideas as to why this isn't working?

Besides the usual file association in Explorer, you have to add manually two lines to the beginning of c:\winnt\IfoEdit.ini:

[IfoEditApp]
WP=MCAAAAAAAAAAAAAABAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPJCAAAAAACCAAAAAAINDAAAAACMCAAAAA

Note that there is no line break in the second long line in case your browser wraps it. Doesn't seem reasonable, but I believe this does the trick.

Thanks. Although I'm not sure that was exactly the solution, but it lead me down the right track (starting with knowing that file even exists).

I had a similiar, but slightly different line already.

Instead of
MCAAAAAAAAAAAAAABAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPJCAAAAAACCAAAAAAINDAAAAACMCAAAAA

it was something like(I didn't copy it, but noticed 2 letters off):

MCAAAAAACAAAAAADAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPJCAAAAAACCAAAAAAINDAAAAACMCAAAAAA

I tried to replace it with your line, but IFOedit just changed it back. So I deleted the file, then deleted my IFOedit.exe and re-downloaded it. Then I had to setup the file extension again because for some reason that kept getting messed up. But eventually it worked,and opening a file from the cmd line works too. Also, the line in IFOedit.ini is exactly like the one you posted.

Glad it worked out for you. I remember now that after I configured this on my computer, I had to set the Read-Only attribute on IfoEdit.ini. Otherwise IfoEdit kept changing that line messing up the whole file association thing.
