I will try to take your advise and look into it.
I can use windows schedualer to spin virtualdub to action after the capture is done.
only problem would be - I didn't see any Audio item in virtualdubMod. how to tell it to also compress my audio?

it seems like a common ehogth chore.
I may like to post it to add to your FAQ, for newbies like meself.

I guess I have to RTFM now? oh well .....

"Stream list" in the Streams menu - there you can add audio and subtitle tracks.

Also - why did you start a new post? A reply in your old one would have been sufficient (not to mention it'd have been clear what the subject was about... ;))
