Hi,
I purchased CCE Basic 2.69 recently and decided to try DVD-RB last night for the first time (0.49).
When I got to the Encode stage, the first avs file completed fine, then CCE popped up an error message ": unknown type". By clicking OK to the error message CCE launched and encoding of the second avs began.
The same error message popped up again before the third avs started. It was late and obvious I couldn't run it unattended so I stopped the encoding stage, so I could take a look at things in the morning.
I discovered that this happened because I opened REBUILDER.ecl in CCE and resaved it before I began the encoding stage, causing CCE to convert all the settings in the ecl file to the new 2.69 format. Well, it is indirectly the reason anyway...
I say indirectly because, looking at the item.ecl file DVD-RB creates in the encoding stage, it looks like this:
; Cinema Craft Encoder Basic -- Encoder Control List
[item]
[item]
title=V01000100002001
aud_out=0
aud_mode=0
vid_file=E:\WORKING 2\D2VAVS\V01000100002001.m2v
vaf_file=E:\WORKING 2\D2VAVS\V01000100002001.vaf
aud_file=E:\WORKING 2\D2VAVS\V01000100002001.mpa
CCE obviously doesn't like having [item] listed twice.
If I don't touch REBUILDER.ecl then encoding works fine and no error messages... which I'm sure all of you using 2.69 know.
I'll restart the process again today when my PC is free and hopefully have my first successful DVD9 > DVD5 conversion soon :)
Regards
Jeff
