hi all:

I've used iuvcr to catpure a basketball game, and I also apply the built-in filter while it's capturing. Then I should get de-interlaced result after capturing. When I playback the video, it looks de-interlaced; however, when I use RM10 to convert it to rmvb and I unselect "de-interlace" and then I got some interlaced rmvb. (It is reasonable that I still have producer plus to de-interlace the video since the source is already de-interlaced)

Any idea?

Hi, I think the Producer GUI is set up by default to auto-deinterlace and auto-inversetelecine if it detects either is necessary. I am not sure what is going on in your case. If you un-check the options for de-interlace, Producer will just encode whatever is being input, but not very efficiently if the input is interlaced. Are you sure your input file is completely de-interlaced? You could open it in VirtualDub and check frame by frame. Some players/codecs auto-deinterlace seamlessly on playback. Which is the format of your AVI file?

Hi karl,

I used MJPEG with quality base 19 to capture the game.
When I playback the video, it looks like de-interlaced (the edge of object is more blur and seamless). I'll try it on virtualdub when I go back home.
I use mediaplayer classic to play videos, and I think it doesn't auto de-interlace videos.
