Hi LIGHTNING UK!

As an keen user of your product I just wondered whether or not a new function could be added when ripping DVD's in IFO mode.

At present when selecting 'Main Movie PGC' you have quite a few 'File Splitting' options. However, there does not appear to be an option that allows you to split the 'Main Movie' in half or thirds or even quarters!

I just thought such an option might prove useful for all those people who like to backup their encodes onto 2 or more CD~R's and who often struggle with file splitters (the audio and subs often fall out of sync). This way each section of the movie can be 'backed up' separately.

Just a thought. And I apologise in advance if there is such an option but I've missed it!

Cheers

SeeMoreDigital,
a good idea, but i have to add, that from an encoders standpoint it is not ideal to split the DVD in advance, as the bitrate for the final encode would not be evenly distributed!
Just imagine a movie, where the first half is rather quiet and the second half is full of action, lights and all that stuff! this way you would get a much worse quality on the second CD as on the first!
I just recently did a 3 CD LOTR rip and the difference of length between the different avi segments was up to 20 minutes!!

just my 2€-cents though!
