setting the record stright?

I gather I need to run three tasks after recording a show from tv.
1. Filtering and curring out commercials
2. 1st Xvid pass( cause I want mpeg 4)
3. 2nd pass and audio comprestion.

when I assign the three different jobs, doesn't it make VirtualDub filter the show twice?
first time in 1. and as the filters are kept in the menu, in stage 3 also?

i assume your fist job is a lossless encode with filters?

when saving the second and third job delete all filters first, the filter-settings for the first job are saved just like any other setting for that job, and are disabled this way for the 2nd and 3rd job.
