I have MS Media Player and I use it to watch clips I get off the Internet. Right now my set up plays a large percentage of the movies out there on the net. I want to revamp my whole system and format the HD and do a re-install of my OS but one problem, I don't know how my MP will behave when I do the reinstall of XP. I want MP to act like it is now. Is any way for MP tell me where its at so I can reinstall what I need to get back to where I'm at right now.
What I do know is that I have ffdshow (don't know the ver. of ffdshow but this is what I have as in the exe. files cause I think I went form one ver to the next. I'm guessing that I did an upgrade - I've got ffdshow-20020617, 20031028, 20040113. What I also want to know is do I install the last one on do all of them from oldest to newest.) and some update for MP.
]Also if an one knows a good codec program that will already get me to where I'm watching a good percentage of the clips out ther the plase help.
And if I'm in violation of any rules just delete this question and I'll post it some where else. Cause I don't want to be in violation of rule 9, 6, or rule 2453456. Just kidding, but the moderator are pretty Strick around here ...
