In Japan, the first discs have been available several weeks ago for $50 per piece, and Mitsubishi plans to ship larger amounts in June or July. They are said to be around 5 Euro here by that time, which is about $US 6.

You'll have to wait till then.

I saw on Americal.com I think its called, Verbatim at about $5 a piece. Preorders only but it says already over sold.

They will be available next month from www.svp.co.uk no prices yet but the NEC 2510 which will also be available from June will be about £70.00 - I can't wait :D

Available 01/06/2004 in Finland. 5 pieces at 71.5€. Can't remember the manufacturer, maybe it was Verbatim. Can be seen @ www.verkkokauppa.com (in finnish)

I think it's too early to buy them now. It's very likely that their prices drop dramatically in the end of the year/early 2005. It may even take a longer time, who knows :)

£7.50 in japan. A price made for Kings surely. Quite outrageous pricing when this time (unlike when DVD-R first hit the market) there is an half-sized alternative in the SAME standard for tenth the price.

Interesting! Then again I can also sell "nothing" for 2 bucks each. :)
Let's hope the price isnt 50$ for 1 disc when they actually get stock.
