i've went over all the settings to my DVD2SVCD and everything runs fine til it gets to this point in the log:
Executing Cinema Craft Encoder.
Error cannot find CCE project file.
then a message pops up and says:
limitation of trial:
cannot save .ecl file
huh?... i've used this before... it's never said this to me... i tried gettting the upgrade for cce on another thread but that didn't work... im stuck like chuck...
:scared:

And you did point d2s at eclcce.exe instead of cce?
djaydur_t

okay, i've did everything right (hopefully) but it encodes the images to .mpg. they still work in my player but it kinda lags and i don't think thats right, actually i know thats not right. i remember before it would encode them to .bin and .cue's. is there something i did wrong?

Yep, In the CD Image tab you might have "no images" checked, instead of VCDXBuild.
djaydur_t
22nd May 2004, 15:28
nope... VCDXBuild is checked...

?
Go into your output folder for the failed encode and open the file
dvd2svcd_log.txt
Copy and paste the contents into a reply to this thread.
It gives info on your settings and greatly helps in tracking down most problems.
Since you are fairly new here, give these stickies (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=63406) a good read. They contain a whole lot of helpful information on how to post.

I do not see nothing strange in your log (except too many recovers) But there should be a file called
VCXBuilder_log.txt
Please post it

Analyzing: C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg
10.000 seconds C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg
Seems something is wrong in mpg. May be the audio track.
Test the mpg and the mp2 in mediaplayer to see if they play well
Note: you are using 700MB CDs. (695 MB cutting point). VCD/SVCDs use Mode 2 burning method, so 800 MB can fit in an "usual" 700 MB (Mode 1) CD.
In any case, I recommend you to run from start (no recover) and post a clean log file

i know its not a clean log but it froze right before saving the .ecl file saying that i had to open a .dll
so i had to close D2S and opened the .dll and it started encoding just fine.
then it tries to run the vcxbuilder and closes by itself saying that it can't make a bin/cue
you said something bout the audio??

Analyzing: C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg
10.000 seconds C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg
For any reason D2S detects a 10 sec length mpg file. This can be:
- A corrupted mpg file.
- A very short audio track. (not sure but if I understood well, D2S checks the audio track length)
So, please check:
Length of your Encoded_audio_1.mp2. Does it plays in Windows MediaPlayer?
But there is something really strange to me:
- Only one execution of Runbbmpeg (there should be two, one per CD)
- Free disk space reduced by 1.5 GB after bbmpeg execution
Please check your files
bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg
bbMPEG_Muxed_File01.mpg
Are they 800MB length?
Do they play on a SW player?
jsoto
EDIT:
Also, please look into your

I'm really confused, please answer to this:
bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg
bbMPEG_Muxed_File01.mpg
Are the date of the files later than the date of the Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL.mpv and mp2 files?
Are they 800MB length each?
Do they play on a SW player?
If yes to all, please post the begining of
VCDXBuild_Script_1.xml
Copy and paste the begining of the file (until <pbc> statement)
Sorry, but I do not have any clue...
D2S 1.1.3B2 is an old version, but I've used it in the past without any problem.

Finally!!, seems you have lost your entry-chapter 2. May be a bug in D2S 1.1.3, but, as I said, I never had seen it.
Just to confirm ,you have to do some manual work:
a) edit VCDXBuild_Script_1.xml and add a new line before entry chapter 3
<default-entry id="entry-000" />

100.000

128.250

b) open dvd2svcd_log.txt and copy the VCXBuild command line
"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\VCDImager\vcdxbuild.exe" --verbose --cue-file="C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\Desktop\Movies\CD_Image_File_CD1.cue" --bin-file="C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\Desktop\Movies\CD_Image_File_CD1.bin" "C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\Desktop\Movies\VCDXBU~1.XML"
Paste it in a new and empty bat file
c) Run your bat file, and see what happen.
And, if it works, you will have the bin/cue filefor the first CD. Repeat the steps for the second CD. But I strongly recommend you to upgrade to the last D2S version :) .
BTW, a SW player is a program (Software) able to play media files/DVDs, like WinDVD or PowerDVD.

Seems your CCE crashes and the mpv is not finished or even more corrupted. So pulldown does not generate anything (See disk space before and after pulldown)
Just to confirm, are you pointing to EclCCE in encoder tab, CCE executable?
If yes, may be a complete deinstallation/reinstallation of CCE helps...

is CCE 2.50 compatible with D2S 1.2.2b1? this whole time i was using EclCCE with CCE but i had CCE 2.50. *slaps head*
jsoto
28th May 2004, 16:33
Yes, it is compatible
No, you do not need EclCCE with CCE2.50
Anyway, seems something is wrong with your CCE... Is it patched?. CCE 2.50 needs a ckecksum patch.
