First of all let me just say that DVD-Rb is great. I have been waiting for this kind of tool for a long time. I do have some features that I really miss and would like to now if they are planned:

Option to select/de-select what you whant to keep on the disc (what subtitles, menu, extra features ect.)

Option divide compression between selected titles, so that you could compress extra features more and movie less.

I would agree with being able to select the bitrate - I know you can do it with other tools but I look forward to a sliding bar a la DVDShrink

As for removing stuff - I think many have tried to do this and failed. Only CloneDVD seems to be able to do it with any success.
I thought one of DVD-RB's aims was to allow good quality full disks, keeping all menus and extras so this goes away from that a little.

I think JDobbs should keep this towards the bottom of the list as I would think it is something that really eats into development time whilst still not being 100% reliable.

Just my $0.02

PS - Oh and getting this stuttering 100% nailed ;) I have never seen it on the few I have done but I still worry it is there niggling away waiting to get me.

@Toranaga
Almost everything on your list can be done with the DVD Rebuilder "add on programs": RB Keeper, RB-Opt, and ECL Optimizer.

For taking out extras, programs such as Titleset Blanker, DVD Stripper or DVD Remake (my favourite) are worth trying out.

Well I use CloneDVD 2 for removing unwanted features.

CloneDVD 2 is nice, but if unwanted parts are within a menu then CloneDVD 2 will not catch them. I still use IfoEdit at times. I'm also fond of DVDStripper.

CloneDVD 2 is sweet because it makes stripping a lot easier for those of us who don't have a lot of time anymore, but I don't really dig on Transcoding so I'm please with DVD Rebuilder, too!! :) I've been waiting a LONG time for something like Rebuilder.

DvdReMake (http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremake/index.php) is perfect for such tasks, you can really delete everything you don't want & change the first play command so standalones don't get stuck on the blanked VOB's.
It's a great program as it is but version 2 is on the way & with this little proggie you can really edit your dvd.

If DVDRemake had the ability to strip streams (really only subs, but audio would be nice) it would be the perfect DVD-RB prep tool.

what do you guys use to remove angles (like for star wars ep1, etc)?

I know I can use ifoedit, but dvdrb craps out when i load the new video_ts directory because it thinks its still a multiangle dvd..

Is this an official statement?

:) Joke. But this feature is coming soon (in ver 2). At the moment angles stripping is implemented and tested. Streams stripping will be added somewhat later.

P3gasus explains here the right and easy way to remove angles.

I posted step-by-step instructions on how I did Shrek; see my post in Multiangle Back-ups W/ DVD-RB (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75990&postid=492043).
Note in particular the last paragraph.

PINOBIRD/lamster: thanks for the tips :)

I ended up using ifoedit 0.96 to keep the first angle, copied all the remaining files into the new directory, then processed it through DVD Shrink to get the menu down to 50% of its size (i left the other stuff untouched). After that, threw it into DVD-RB 0.49 and voila, a perfect backup.
