new catagory AVI to DVD

I would like to suggest a new catagory AVI to DVD which currently doesnt seem to exist, does it ?

while a lot of questionable content is available in AVI format there
are legitimate reasons for wanting to convert from AVI to DVD.

For example I have about 3 Hours of raw home movie Footage that I want to compile into a dvd format.

There are a lot of grannies with DVD players these days and sending them a DVD of the grandchildren is a lot more user friendly than AVI divX coded film.

It seems an avi to dvd catagory would be a logical first place to look for advice on converting the raw footage.

actually, the home video footage comes form DV, does it not (so it would go into the DV forum and advanced editing goes into NLE)? Or, if it's analogue it has to go the same way as analogue TV captures and hence belong into the capture forum.

So I think we have those cases already covered. Or did I miss something?

while existing groups probably cover everything that would be covered in AVI2DVD

perhaps it could function as a nonposting group ie just one or two stickys with links to the appropriate place to post or read as an aid to navigation so to speak.
