Unable to split or cut a movie peace

Hi ,

I've a movie and want to cut a parts ,I even tried to split the movie because it is the first partthat I don't want , but when I saved it the part is still there .

Is there a sort of protection so you can't split or cut ?

yep

your cut must start at a keyframe, indicated with a [K] in the box where the framenumber and time is. hop from keyframe to keyframe with SHIFT+ARROW KEY. set your selection start with HOME and your selection end with END.
