View Full Version : Besweet failed error with d2sroba and dvd2svcd

I've just been using dvd2svcd for a few weeks to do backups to cdr's (I have dvd2svcd 1.2.1 b3 by the way). I just downloaded d2sroba 3.50 the other day as I just saw it mentioned on the forums here. I had done a one-pass Q method using CCE from dvd2svcd before but switched to the much lengthier multi-pass to "fill out" my cd's. So I was really excited about d2sroba's capabilities (especially since I'm still running an athlon 550 with win98se, so single/double pass is far nicer that 5 pass).

My problem is that as soon as I started (with the default settings in d2sroba) I had an error at the audio encoding point. Dvd2avi had run and subs had ripped and audio had extracted but when it came to besweet (which d2sroba changes to besweetlater.bat) I got a "besweet failed" error from dvd2svcd and it told me to check my audio tab. I tried fiddling with the name of the batch file to no avail. I changed it to normal besweet.exe but of course then d2sroba won't have the log file for the delayed audio processing. I searched on google for d2sroba and "besweet failed" and then I looked around the forums likewise and didn't find a similar problem. So while I was waiting five days to post here I wrote a program to do the same thing as the batch file and it worked. I guess any .exe will work but not a .bat, which may be a win98se problem and most people have XP/2k. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they may have done to fix it.

Thanks!

No, I have never heard of this problem. An easier workaround is to uncheck audio encoding after video in d2sroba. It is not needed unless you want auto bitrate adjust for audio.

Thanks for the reply DDogg! That's a really good point.
