software to make music videos

ok, heres the deal...i have a portable DVD palyer that i carry with me to work and can mount in my car. i want to make a mix-DVD similar to a mix-CD, but with music videos. i have a number of videos that i have downloaded or ripped from DVD and all that, but i have some songs i want on the mix-DVD that i dont have any sort of video for. i was wondering if there was a way i could turn an mp3 into a video file and make it display the album art or even better, some way to record the "light show" many mp3 software players create and make that the video part.
