CCE Freezes please help!

I have been using DVD Rebuilder with succes before, but have reinstalled Windows XP recently. Now when DVD-RB gets to the decoding part, it starts CCE but CCE then freezes completely and nothing more happens. Please does anyone know what could be wrong?

Define "freezes". A "freeze" is when the program starts using 100% of cpu power and nothing happens for a long time. If CCE just opens the main window without encoding anything and you can close it normally, its not a freeze.

same as what i've been having by the sound of it.

The CCE window opens. It does not take up any CPU power, but I cannot close it. If I go to task manager and force close it, it takes about 1-2 minutes before it closes and the PC is very slow until it closes.

If I open the program normally and encode an AVI there is no problem.
