Hello everyone!

I have a KVCD file, 801 MB. KVCD is MPEG 1 VBR file. I burn this as a VCD in Nero and the "Create Standard CD" check is disabled which is as expected. The problem is that I am unable to fit the 801 MB file on my 700 MB CD, which theoretically I should be able to as the CD is being recorded in Mode 2.

Please advise.

Also Nero shows the file size as 840 MB :( I dont know why. Same problem with VCDEasy - the image written cannot be burnt on 1 CD.

I think I should be able to burn 801 MB on one CD without overburning - correct me if I am wrong here.

Your file is too big. This is the old "when is a megabyte NOT a megabyte" problem, for lack of a better term. To make things easy,
people usually assume 1 MB = 1000 bytes. That's not really true. In
reality, 1 MB = 1048 bytes. Some programs report sizes as 1 MB = 1000 bytes and others use 1 MB = 1048 bytes.
800 MB * 1048 = 838400 bytes
which is about 840 MB. Nero is reporting the true size and whatever told you the file was 801 MB is using 1 MB = 1000 bytes, which is not really correct. You're going to have to cut the file or find a way to shrink it some more.
