Crash caused by unusual Runtime termination

When I try to open VDM_1.5.10.1 in my win 98 system it crushes with the message:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

This aplication has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way."

I can't find any information on the forum about such a problem.

Help!!

Last but not least: VDub does open.
