Hi !
I'm trying to use BeSweet CLI 1.5b28 to reencode Ogg Vorbis to MP3 (don't ask why, that's my problem :p)
command is :
besweet -core( -input "<input>.ogg" -output "<output>.mp3" -logfilea "c:\besweet.log" ) -lame( --alt-preset cbr 96 )
with <input> and <output> being the right filenames with whole path (I use XP command line auto-completion to be sure ^^)
logfile is created but is empty and no output comes out
is it normal ?
thx in advance

i do remember awhile back someone did have problems with besweet and ogg to mp3, did your search come up with anything?
if that fails, give foobar2000 a try to convert the ogg to a wav, then encode the wav in besweet. you could directly use foobar2000 to encode to lame, it wont have the fancy normalise, fix delay etc but should be the same quality i think.

I did find some threads talking about ogg to mp3 conversion, but I didn't find any answer to my problem... According to what I've read, it *SHOULD* work :(
EDIT : the thing is, I do need to use it in command line... so FooBar2000 won't help, I think :(

something should go extremly wrong in order BeSweet to produce an empty logfile..
are you using the libvorbis.dll P4 version ?

I don't know which one is actually used...
I installed the latest Ogg DirectShow filter (available from doom9) and I didn't alter the original BeSweet package I downloaded (I think there's a libvorbis.dll included, I may be wrong, but I'm at work now and I can't check)
what's weird is that OggMachine works just fine...
More info when I get home...

when I set no log file, I get this output :
BeSweet v1.5b28 by DSPguru.
--------------------------
Using Ogg Vorbis v1.0 dlls (http://www.vorbis.com).
when I set one, no output, empty log file...
I'm using OggDS 0.995 and standard BeSweet 1.5b28 package

try not using the oggds. download libvorbis.dll and libmmd.dll from rarewares (http://www.rarewares.org/ogg.html) and put them in your besweet directory.
