To begin, I must say that AutoGK is a great program - what I've been looking for to get more of my dvd's stored on my HTPC. Using AutoGK 1.19b, except for 4 problem dvd's, I have sucessfuly transcoded 55 of my hard disc dvd movies to Xvid/AVI format. However, 4 of the movies I transcoded have no sound. In the log file I see "Audio Not Detected". I run AutoGK with default settings, except I set: Output > Target Quality > 75%.

Each of the 4 movies has only a DD 6ch soundtrack and English subtitles. ALL of my movies were put on my HDD using DVD Decrypter set to rip "all files" for each movie to HDD; DVD Shrink was used to reauthor each movie (uncompressed) so that only the DD 6ch soundtrack and English subtitles were left.

The 4 problem movies play fine as dvd movies with TheaterTek and ZPlayer Pro, but the when ZPlayer Pro plays the AVI version, there is no sound. ZP Pro plays all the other AVI's I have made perfectly with sound and video.

I also updated to AutoGK 1.21b, but it didn't help, still no sound on these 4 movies. I could re-rip the movies, but I don't see how that would help, since they play find as dvd movies on my HDD; I don't think there is anything wrong with the IFO and VOB files.

Can anyone explain why these 4 movies don't have any sound when converted to AVI format?

Thanks.

Only IFO mode of DVDDecrypter is supported. There will no support from me until it is used as it should be.
