Hi all
the subject says it all...
How do I get to join them without affecting the menu operation?
AFAIK, it would only need to add the chapter info to the IFO, is that correct? how do I do that?
I tried using IFOUpdate, and it works! it just destroys the menu information; I can join the VTS_01_X IFOs into one single IFO and I have the whole movie working, but menu won't work.
Any help appreciated
Thanks

UPDATED use the method i posted below
hi I never tried this but I think it works.
1a. join the two movies(titles) you can use DVDshink but you will get a slit pause when it jumps titlesets.
1b. or use vobedit to demux both movies by VOB-IDs, rename and then join.
2. change the number of chapters in the IFO you want to use.
use 2Cools guide here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=69346) up to step 13. (it looks long but it's easy).
3. open up vobBlanker point to the VIDEO_TS.IFO you just edited the IFOs in the input folder and select the output folder(your final folder). check all boxes process menus, process IFO files... Now highlight the main movie titleset (eg. VST_01_*.VOB). Now under the PGCs in Selected TitleSet highlight the movie again (little tip look at the file size to tell the difference) now hit the replace button and open the vobs you just joined in steps 1a or 1b. and last step is to hit the process!! button.
4.you might have to use menuedit to edit your menus to jumps to the right places all depending on how you split the DVD in the first place.
5. it never hurts to do a mock strip now and then.

sorry krantz but i had to update the method because it was something that i thought of on the fly but this new way might be better. one more thing just use ifoedit. open your ifo VST that the menu is in then under Tools>merge menu tables and select the original ifo.your menus should work.
now for the new UPDATED method on how to merge two dics with working menus.
1. demux disc one with vobedit by Cell id and check Demux complete title set. demux disc two the same way, in the same folder as the first one but when you save it just rename it one higher then the last vob (if the last one is named VTS_01_029.VOB then save as VTS_01_030.VOB).
2. now still with vobedit open the first vob you demuxed VTS_01_001.VOB and under edit>join clips save in another folder (this is what we will use for the replacing)
3. open addchapter and add the number of chapters of the second disc to the first. Also check off Append new cells to last VOB file. Each time you add a chapter you have to open and close addchapter to activate the DO IT! button.
eg.you have disc one 1-28 and disc two with 29-36(7chapters) so you would add seven chapters with addchapter to disc one.
4. open vobBlanker and open the ifo you just added chapters to(disc one).check all boxes Process Menus, Process IFO Files.... now highlight the movie TitleSet and then hightlight the movie Entry under PGCs in Selected TitleSet
if more than one entry is shown use the preview to see which is the main movie (only available in version 1.1.0.1) now hit the replace button select the the vobs you joined in step 2.
5. Use menuedit to fix your menu navigation and your done
I just tested this out and it worked good for me.

I'm looking for an answer to the following scenario
- how can I split a single dvd onto two disks
- Keep the menus and first half of the movie on the first disk
- Remainder of the movie would go on the second disk
Is this possible with VobBlanker?
