Just installed the new firmware for the 8883A. Checked my machine for the sticker and found it.
Did everything by the book, but when the update cd popped back out of the machine, the picture froze on the 'updating' screen. After 20 minutes, I finally plucked up the courage to turn off the machine. When I turned it back on, thank god it still worked. Only thing is - no subtitles(I only have Xvids with subs), avi OSD time-index still appears and zoom still appears.
I tried flashing again, but the cd is recognised and spitted out without installing.
Could the problem be that I installed the 17.12 update on the machine when it was originally intended for the 8883 without sticker?
Anyone experienced problems with this installl?
