DVD2SVCD BBMpeg v1 24 beta 18 Freezing?

Hi
Why could BBMpeg v1 24 beta 18 be freezing during Multiplexing? Im using D2Sroba v3.5 with v1.2.2b1 DVD2SVCD bundle.

It starts to Multiplex and reaches 73% then seems to freeze? Is this a bug or a hardware problem or software conflict?

Anyone know?

Here it is DDogg.. Funny this is, came down this morning - still locked at 73% multiplexing, cancelled, went away and it continued on its own, and created the CDs.. Very weird.

Have used a custom CCE template based on Bach1 matrix, used D2Sroba and Rejig with Facar as a plugin..

Its gradually all beginning to come together although Ive probably messed up somewhere..

My PC is a P4 2.5Gb with 1 Gb of RAM running Win2k SP4.

Hmm, the original AVI has a framerate of 30, that I think is the source of your problem. The result of using Frame rates other than 23.976, 25.00 and 29.970 is somewhat unpredicable :(.

i have just encountered a similar problem with a dvd to svcd conversion
this morning after leaving a conversion in progress i found my pc shut down and just now i discovered that it was hanging during multiplexing at 98% with CPU usage of 98-99% :eek:

my suspicion is that the error is ocurring at the point where cutting should be occurring as i was aiming for a 1cd and the file it had created was already 814,784kb anyway heres the log file

Were you able to resolve this issue? If so, how? I am experiencing what appears to be the same concern. bbMPEG v1.24 beta 18 is hanging up at "Multiplexing: 56% - 192629 of 343979 A/V units". I have re-ripped and reprocessed this DVD three times and the problem occurs in the same spot each time. No playback problems have been evident while watching the DVD itself.

I am running DVD2SVCD 1.2.2 build 3, XP Professional with SP2, an Athlon XP 2400+ on a MachSpeed V6FP motherboard with 768 MB of PC2100 RAM.

I apologize for the brevity of the log. When reviewing the contents of the folder after the last failed attempt, I noticed that the pulldown file was missing so a recovery was performed from that point. It appears as though the log file only shows from that time forward.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem here. It looks like runbbmpeg loops and uses 100% CPU.

Is there a workaround?

I reckon this is usually caused by one of two things, the DVD's audio is mono(most likely), or there is an incorrect sampling rate being reported and compensated for (say 32khz when it's really 48khz).
