View Full Version : DVD2SVCD gets to CCE sample encode point and hangs when using D2SRoBa

Hi,

I've tried using DVD2SVCD to convert some AVI's to DVD.
With the new version using D2SRoBa and when using it with D2SRoBa pre-latest version, I am intermittently getting a fail when it gets to the CCE point, and performs the first sample encode.

Click here for an screenshot example (http://www.kingsholm-chronicle.co.uk/images/ExampleScreen.jpg)

However, if I use straight up DVD2SVCD the video is converted fine.
I've Included at the bottom my D2SRoBa log and the DVD2SVCD log also.

Any help would be gratefully received, as I haven't found any postings on the same.

Also when creating the disc images with scenarist and using fixed chapters they are still non-sequential unless you recover and re-do the DVD authoring stage.

Cheers

Alex

1. The only time I've had this error of Stopping after sample encodes was when using my PC for other things. Typing in different applications whilst D2SRoBa is trying to control CCE has been known to cause problems. Does the problem still occur if you leave the machine to it?

2. The Scenatist chapter bug is known and will be fixed in the next release according to the latest readme on D2S's website.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply Nick.

The computer has always been left to it.
I was aware that DVD2SVCD simulated keyboard actions, so I leave it to it overnight.
The only application running is Virus checkers, and EMule.

I only get the hanging when using D2SRoBa with DVD2SVCD.
When I use only straight up DVD2SVCD, there is not problem.

Hope you can help a bit further.

CCE 2.5 or later? If 2.5 do you have add resample audio checked in the frameserver tab? If not that is probably it and it's not what you think, just a strange idiosyncrasy between D2SRoBa and D2S that is excruciatingly difficult to explain :)

[Crap, the way I worded the above made it sound like I was saying to turn it off. NOT so, I mean make sure it IS checked. Sorry :o]

DDogg,

Thanks for the reply, not sure If I had that set, but I'm going to set on off now, and I'll post back the outcome.

Just got back this morning to find that, having ensured that the box WAS checked it still hasn't worked.

I won't bother posting the log files as the symptoms are exactly the same as the original post.

Has anyone else any ideas, as it looks like I'm going to have to revert back to straight up DVD2SVCD.

Thanks

I have the exact same problem. In some of the earlier versions d2sroba i did not have this problem. I do have resample audio checked but usually d2sroba will get the Q and then when it goes to do the opv encoding it makes to where cce just hangs. I then have to click encode on cce and then it will go. When i do batch encoding I wake up to find that it hung on the first project to encode which makes batch encoding useless.
Anyone have any ideas why this would happen?
Thanks for any knowledge you can throw this way.
