just wondering since i tend to only want to keep delete scenes/outtakes from most dvds. i tend to dump the rest of the extras to keep the main movie at a higher bitrate. i would like to know if this would be a problem for dvd-rb. i know in the dvd-rb faqs jdobbs says that most of these programs used to remove extras "butcher" the source and can make dvd-rb do strange things. so would there be a problem with using VOB blanker before running dvd-rb? sorry if this has been asked before. thanks

It should work. I haven't used that specific program, but I have used DVD-RB with TitlesetBlanker, MenuEdit, DVD Stripper, and DVDShrink output without any problems. DVDRemake is also reported to work, and make an excellent pre-processing tool for DVD-RB.

But if you encouter any problems, please re-try with the originals before reporting a bug. Just to rule out the pre-processing tool as a cause of the error.

I`ve tried the following dvd-stripper with RB v0.45/0.46:

1. titleset-blanker: worked OK, very fast. Make a backup for all the .ifo/.bup files, the "restore backups" function works very bad!

2. vob-blanker: worked also OK, but it took much more time - all the .vobs(up to 8 GB) must be copied... Benefit: it removed some unsued cells, so sometimes the target dvd is smaller, but still works 100%.

Just for the record. Not really needed. You can process only one (or some) VTSs, but you will lose the originals:
- Process only the desired VTSs (skip the other ones).
- Overwrite the source files with the new ones.
- Get VTS sectors in IFOEdit.
