Is there a way to do single-pass encoding? I have a bunch of VOBS/DVDs all same size and I don't care for 2 pass encoding in this case, just 'zip' them in one shot with values that I provide, I can't seem to convince GKnot to just do one pass.. Haven't yet tried AutoGK, seems like it only does single pass, but I'm not sure.

second, can I run two instances of GKnot? It looks like not..

I want to start the first encode, and while it's working keep adding more jobs to the queue, is this possible? or I have to first define all the jobs, add and run...

thanks.

i THINK I figured out the multiple windows.. there's no need for more than one window cuz I can just keep using that same window to add more jobs atany time, it seems like it's taking it..

only questio now is how to do single pass.. I guess that would depend in the codec.. I'm using divx5 or xvid.. thanks.

GK does not support single pass. If you wish single pass encoding, you can encode the generated .avs in VdubMod manually.

Or if you don't much care what the final file size is, you can run a 1-pass quality encode in AutoGK.

it's not that I don't care about filesize, but it's a bunch of clips that are pretty much the same thing, so I'm sure a 1-pass will yield same size video.. I tried autoGK, but it too did 2-pass, is that "target quality" option, otherise I don't see any 1-pass settings there..

I'm almost done, and next time I'll try it inside vdub.. but curious about autogk option.

Thanks.
