dvd2avi not demuxing audio..

I have a source DVD without encryption (as far as I know) when played on PC it says audio is LPCM 2.0 at 1150k/sec.. I run the VOB files through dvd2avi which produces a d2v file, preview shows NTSC (it's 4:3 ratio for TV) and audio format Linear PCM.. in Audio->output method I have Demux all tracks.. I do a F4 save project and it runs through but NO ac3 file or any WAV or any audio.. my next step would be GK to produce a smaller AVI..

this is not a hollywood film just home video in mpeg2 on a dvd..

any ideas?

Then you could use DVDDecrypter's stream processing to demux audio. (btw, its not recommended as the audio delay will be different than what you get with DVD2AVI)

LPCM tracks cannot be demuxed - they have to be decoded (third option in DVD2AVI) - you'll get wav file afterwards.

LenOx.. you're a genious!... I tried it all and nothing worked until I did the "decode" in dvd2avi..

also tried the dvddcrypt, put a "*" in the streams/demux, but got only vobs.. at any rate I don't need dvddcrypt, since all the vobs are already on disk.. so.. now I'm carrying on with the wav file, we'll see how far I go ;-)

Why in the world is this true? Anything should be demux-able, I would think.

No, really. Why is this true? I'll add it to the list if necessary and possible. I want to lose the decoding stuff anyway.
