I am just getting started with using DVDRebuilder, and am trying to get through the initial setup stage. I am receiving a couple of errors consistently. To keep it simple, I will just start with the first question, to eliminate possibilities:

1) For an encoder I am using the trial version of CCE 2.69 Basic (to see how CCE works before I purchase). With this trial version, I've read that I need to incorporate iclCCE.exe into the setup process(?) The reason I ask is that when I go into the eclCCE.executable, it brings up a screen title that says: "Select CCE-SP Trial Executable" -Since I am using CCE BASIC, is this correct?

2) I have gone ahead and set up eclCCE.exe to point to my CCE Basic executable 'cct2t.exe', Following the rest of the guidelines, I also have setup MPEG2DEC3DG.DLL, AVISynth, and Rebuild as instructed. After all is installed as per instructions and starting to run Rebuilder, I am continually getting the following errors:

(During Phase II: Encoding) "Unable to find the CCE window!

If I click 'OK', it processes just a single M2V file, then stops again and gives another error message:

"Unable to find CCE Window! Error 87: The parameter is incorrect"
click OK and this will go on and on...

I've tried reloading and setting up both ecLCCE.exe and Rebuild multiple times just to make sure I was following the guides correctly, but the same things happens.

Any help on this?

Thanks

EclCCE does not work with CCE Basic. Try using the CCE executible itself.

Also, be sure to select the version of CCE you are using in the Options->CCE submenu.

wmansir,

this is true even though I'm using a 'trial' version of CCE Basic for now?

thanks

OK, I went in and got rid of the path to the eclCCE.exe, as wmansir had suggested... and finally got past the "Unable to find CCE window" error...

However, now when I run Rebuilder, it gives me a different error message:

F:\Movie_Test\D2VAVS\item.ecl is not a ECL for CCE Basic Trial Version"

I then have to ABORT the process.

I am having a hard time deciphering what it is I'm doing wrong, any help is appreciated!!

thanks

Is this setting correct?

I don't think it works with the trial version of CCE Basic.

quantum, that is correct. I just went ahead and purchsed the full registered CCE Basic after jdobbs suggested the same, installed it, and everything is up and running. Apparently, the basic cce trial version cannot be configured with eclCCE to work in Rebuilder.
