JDobbs, or anybody else that may know, I have a DVD which is NTSC 60i and BFF. When using a conventional D2V and CCE 2.67.00.xx that would mean that Offset line would be set to 1 (accoding to RB's FAQ). The ecls built by DVD-rb set Offset line as 0. Since dvd-rb does this core stuff differently, are dvd-rb's ecls correct?

I may be wrong but from what i understand, dvdrb puts the origional flags in the encoded file so he would want to encode in a manner that does not change the origional (ie offset/topfield = 0) and then the encoded file is altered to show bff sorta like restream

Trahald is correct is should be fine. By recording, and then re-applying the flags from the original stream DVD-RB doesn't have to bother with having CCE get it right. In fact if CCE didn't cheat (by shifting the picture instead of actually changing the FO flag), that setting would have no effect on the final output because DVD-RB would overwrite it.

Thanks, guys. I had hoped that was the way it was but wanted to verify.
