I'm trying to combine a 2-disc dvd in re-author mode to fit on 1 dvdr. Going by the guide on the site this is possible if you have 2 dvd rom drives which I have. But shrink only seems to encode the first disc, when it comes to changing to the second disc shrink puts up a failed message saying programming error - exception.

Anyone have any ideas?

The problem seems to happen when copying between 'titles' to be specific.

Could be a problem with decryption, or a simple error reading on the second drive (or the second disk). Try swapping the disks between the drives, or try on different disks (just to diagnose the problem).

Failing that, try ripping the problem disk to your hard drive using DVDDecypter, then pulling in the title from there.

Managed to find the problem.
I had a series of photo menu files and it seems shrink doesn't like them for some reason. Removing them has solved the error problem but it means I can't get all the content I want from the dvd source.
Is there any way to rip picture menu files? even if I have to convert them to jpg it would be better than nothing.

Files outside of the VIDEO_TS directory on a DVD are not CSS encrypted. You can just copy them from the source DVD using Windows Explorer.
