Do I still need CRC patch for CCE 2.67?

Ok, I actually have two questions:

1. Do I need to use CCE 2.67 with DVD2SVCD, rather than CCE 2.50? I have AMD Athlon XP machine.

2. For CCE 2.67, do I still need the CRC patch? btw, the link to the patch in Q&A is not working anymore.
