DVD-Rom (LG GDR-8162b)

Hi.

I have just purchased a DVD-rom drive (GDR-8162B) and would like to know if I need to download any firmware, I have looked around and seen that there is firmware available. I have even downloaded a firmware revision not sure exactly what it is. just wondering if anybody has this drive or knows what firmware I should download for it?

Just be sure of what you're doing. If you flash with the wrong firmware it can leave your drive dead. Do you really need the firmware flash? If not, don't do it.
