So after giving up with the VFW wrapper (i can't seem to get it to work again) i have had it working before, but now i thought i would try the WDM drivers. I did think that there was a limit to the container (Avi) that would only let me capture upto 2gb:confused: but after reading a few threads it seems this is the old standard(1.0 avi), being on Windows XP with NTFS file system, i can't see any reson apart from the program (MyTv) from limiting my capture to 4gb. Im using Huffyuv (The CCE patch version i believe)

lol  Geez! well at the moment im using Mjpeg which is working quiet well, but i do feel some what defeated  :p
Is there any way of knowing what version of "AVI" i have installed? Is there a update anywhere that i could install if it is this limitation?
I would like to capture to mkv but i don't know of any program that could do this. I tried virtual VCR and a few others from ookami's site, but none seem to detect my channels:confused: .
I might go back to Vdub if i can find time to figure out what i need to get the Vfw wrapper to work (btw the link to the VFW wrapper in the FAQ is down, i had to google)

I just got through capping a movie (2hr 20mins with commercials) and its 67gb. It will be around 50gb after editing out the commercials with vdub.
