How meny of you guys actually keep the trailers that are put on the beginning of some dvds ??
Seems like 20th century fox has started adding trailers to the beginning, like phoneboth, calendar girls(think that was fox) and stuck on you, also some of the disney movies seem to have trailers added to the beginning.
I myself might just strip the trailers out...

Yeah, you are right. noticed that too.
Myself i do not change an DvD structure.
Im somethimg like a beginner to that stuff, so i want to risk nothing by removing something from the original DvD.
and in most cases you can skip them.

Yeah, I don't like them either. They don't take up much space for the most part so I just remove the PUOPs and skip thru them.

At least i aint the only one whos noticed they have started adding more trailers...
@Shanez ... true they dont always use that much space(like the ones that are 30mb or so) and removing puops is good to skip them, but removing a 330mb trailer would give you a tad more space, might not be much but every little helps.
I think trailers are EVIL,Pure EVIL ;) .... just there to make you spend more of your cash...

One thing im noticing is trailers with no chapter stops .. so you have to fast foward through the trailers. (which takes only 5 seconds) but thats 5 seconds too long!
i keep all the trailers because i like them (although watching them every time i put in the disk isnt always desired)
with a little ifo editing and a 2cool guide i can add a chapter stop but its a pita.
i do the trailers at 1/2D1 resolution. so bitrate penalty against main movie is minimized.

mmmm i spose if you liek em thats fair enough.I personal dont, in fact i aint that bigger fan of the extras, of all the films i have(about 60-70) i proberly watch about 12 of the extras.
The only trailers i watch are the ones that are for cimenma release that you see on the tv or what you can download.
On the film im doing now these are the bitrates with and with out a 330mb trailers..
With Trailers .. Extras At 2000 Main = 3368 ,Extras At 2500 Main = 3068
No Trailers .. Extras At 2000 Main = 3503 ,Extras At 2500 Main = 3232

Well, thats a personal preference. The good thing is you have the option to kill the trailers even if I dont agree w/it ;)
As per your chart, its not a big difference to me. At those bitrates i would keep the extras

The only trailers that I keep are the ones for the same movie I'm backing up. Sometimes they will have different various tv spot trailers and they are kind of interesting. I simply place a 5 sec message slide that says that they have been removed. I really don't see any difference between removing certain extras and removing foreign audio and subtitle tracks. If I'm not going to listen or watch it, why leave it on there? All in all it is a personal preference.
