check out those video CPU stats. ATI seems to be very nice. :D
also future enhancements for video are likly to come ;)
i belive sites like www.hardocp.com
and www.techreport.com have a full list of links to sites with reviews to take a look.
i have been keeping track elsewhere and chatting about it :D great stuff... we have a lot of stuff to see... hopefully for the better in our world of video :D

The main thing i like about it is the power requirements cos it means i can actually run it while the nvidia would probably not work
not to mention single slot design. although itll be a good 6 months till i have the cash to buy the X800PRO

i found this review
http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/radeon/r420.html
its one of the best reviews i have seen on this card sofar.
i also have to admin that ATI has a lead in everything in the race of video cards.
well except for many openGL games (to be fixed soon btw)
and pro apps like 3d modeling, where nvidia really does good in both.
ati has a price/performance lead yet again... but nvidia has the GT version and Ultra extream version soon to be released, which will help gain some ground there.
ati's design is the same as the 9800XT, BUT they managed to fix problems, and boost performance up TWO FOLD. its still the same size card, its the same temp or lower in temp than the r3xx cores. it fits and works fine in small form factor boxes, and yes, only has ONE molex connector (probably will not be one at all in the PCI-express version from what i understand). the PRO version itself can compeat nicely with the nnvidia ULTra card, even tho its not as good, it still compeats rather nice, and can be overclocked with additional cooling to make a better advantage, and think about it.... its only a 12 pipeline card.
pritty amazing if you ask me.
the ati future is bright... we are looking for many driver enhancements in the next 6 months or so, many surprises will be revield (not just the one or two). NV40 has already been cought cheating or OPTIMIZING if you may.... ati may have done it twice, but learned its lesson and appologiezed... Nvidia could care less about its customers and will do anything to get ahead of the competition... im not an ATI fanboy, but i have keept an eye on BOTH cards/compaines. i would have to say nvidia lost my trust when people actually saw their cheats, and lies, and brainwashing (ohh its optimizations not cheats).
anyways, i thought i would just post some more details :D check out www.rage3d.com forums for more chats about it. :D
After reading many of the reviews there is no one clear winner. They are both miles ahead of their previous editions. Overall the nvidia seems to be more feature rich and future ready though.
Anyway this is the funniest thing I have seen today in an interview with ATI :D
It was very important to us that NVIDIA did not know exactly where to aim. As a result they seem to have over-engineered in some aspects creating a power-hungry monster which is going to be very expensive for them to manufacture. We have a beautifully balanced piece of hardware that beats them on pure performance, cost, scalability, future mobile relevance, etc. That's all because they didn't know what to aim at.
