I am backing up a multiangle DVD. I personally dont care if the angles are present or not, whatever is easier. I am using DIFFU to BATCHCCEWS to SCENAID to SCENARIST.

In CCE i checked to "restrict auto i frame insertion" as well as "close all GOP's" and Equalize each GOP length

In scenarist i keep getting the following error:

Error ERROR in Interleaving.
Error ERROR in making ILVU.
The PTSs are different at ILVU#23 in CELL#1 between angles.
Error Dvd_ilv : Reconfig Vobset Tree Error
Error Terminated Interleaving (titanangles-VTS01V001_t.vob).
Error Start PTS of ILVUs in each angle are deferent. The encoding paremeters should be same between angles.
Error Interleave is failed.

I tried to delete the angle in scenarist but it crashes when I mux.
I have tried by checking and un checking "process all angles" in diffu
I have tried encoding only the angles with restrict auto i frame and close GOP's.

I have tried many different things with zero luck.
Please let me know any ideas

Copy the VIDEO_TS to HD.
"Reauthor" the angle You prefer with DVDShrink (no menu, no compression). Put the created Vobs back in the VIDEO_TS folder(like they were created by Scenarist) --> Ifoupdate --> create new ISO.
Proceed as usual with Big3.

;)

Never be frustrated, it's only an amusement!

Try flagging ANGLE in BatchCCEWS or DoCCE4U.
Bye.

Ok in response to SuperTat

Here is what i tried {using dvdshrink to remove the angle}

I did a full back up with dvd_shrink (no compression) to get the dvd on my hard disk.
I then "authored" the VTS that was the main movie with the angles.
The original FULL DVD (both on disk and HD now) have

VTS_01_0.VOB
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB
VTS_01_5.VOB
VTS_01_6.VOB

If i recall from scenarist attempt in the past
VTS_01_02 and VTS_01_06 are the angles.

After i get only one angles from shrink with no compression i am left with

VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB
VTS_01_5.VOB

I put these VOBs with the origianl full rip on my drive (LEAVES UN-TOUCHED VTS_01_6.VOB)
I then did IFO update on VTS_01.

When i play the video in IfoEdit it still says that there are two angles for VTS_01

I do the same only getting the original from DVD DEC and same thing.

i will now try flagging angle in BATCH and post my findings.

Thank you both for your input!

Just not sure what the whole dvdshrink thing was all about, but the easiest way if you don't want the angle is to just uncheck the "all angles" checkbox before demuxing. Or, delete the second angle from the demuxed files before you start up ScenAid.

I did uncheck process all angles in DIF4U. When i use Scenaid they magically appear in scenarist. I get the error in scenarist when i mux and when i delete the angle and mux the program crashes.

How should i go about deleting the second angle before ScenAid. Simply erase the files (VTS_01_V002.*)?

Thanks

ahh I missed the fact that you demuxed by vobid. There's no way to not demux the angles if you demux by vobid, due to DVDDecrypter limitations.

Yes, delete the vobid that has the second angle. Dunno how SA will react to that though.. hopefully it's coded to realize you don't want that angle!

Let's say you don't need VTS_01_6.VOB anymore in your original full rip. Simply delete it.

With IFOEdit you can now strip VOB IDs checking to retain the angle you choose (VOB extras options - self explanatory).

Put them back again...
Eventually remove Layer break
Get VTS Sectors
...hold on, no frustration!:D

How can i change settings in DIFFU then to not process the second angle?

"AutoSwitch VTSes containing angles to VobID Demux"
Is currently checked.

Or is the only way to remove the angle by deleting the vobids of the angles?

Deselect this option and deselect "all angles". This thing will make it process only the first angle and the DVD will be processed by PGC.
Bye.

once you've scanned a directory just check the box up at the top that shows "Demux by VOBID" in DoItFast4u! - that will switch back to PGC demux.. proceed as eyes instructed

SceneAid will use a very small dummy file (15 fames) for the cell that was used by the angle

I got rid of demux by VOB ID and get the following scenaid error

Number: 13
Description: Type mismatch

EXE Name: ScenAid
EXE Path: C:\Program Files\ScenAid
EXE Version: Version 0.9.5

Call Stack (lowest level first)

Form1::ProcessDIF (line 3040)

I also only processed the VTS with the angle and left the others unchecked in DIFFU. I get the same error in scenaid
