Enable Seek ??

hello everybody, i got one question. I got one DVD, in which is not possible to seek at all. It's possible only to jump through chapters. I thought first that remove P-UPs in ifoedit shoud do the trick but with no luck. Is there some way how to enable seekeing ??

In IFOEdit look at VTS_TMAPTI. That's where the information necessary for seek is held. It's possible that this area is blank, in which case seek would be disabled.

Yes, its blank, is there any way to reconstruct this without reauthoring ?? Becouse the movie is multi PGC and im not able to reauthor it(which authoring soft can do this ??) in that way to keep compatibile with old menu :(

AFAIK you will have to reauthor. And Scenarist is your best bet for multi-PGC titles. Sucky I know =(

DvdReMake will reconstruct it. Just import and then export DVD.

DVDs often do not seek due to a bad time map, the time search PUO is set (enable all operations should fix this), or because the title is not one-sequential (many PGCs) - some players will seek on such a title; others won't.

Yes, in case there is more than 1 PGC in the same title, there can't be common time code for it (or seekability by time code) since it gets something like 'multi-PGC title status' (where blocks can be substituted in any order). Even if you add an empty PGC (e.g. for navigation) to the same title (originally consisting of sequentially played seamless cells), that title will lose seekability (across the title, seekability within chapter may still work in some players) and its chapters will start from zero. If you assign that new PGC to another title in the same VTS instead, the first title will remain seekable.

I fixed the prob in DVDRemake Pro by enabling all operations at the DVD (top of tree) level (also did selectively and at VTS level but did not fix). After exporting the DVD it seeks normally, so it seems to have been a PUO that was the problem
